Greetings to you traveller. You have found the hidden scrolls of the Glade Council. These scrolls contain the history of the kinship and its members, and the ongoing kinship plots. As you read through these scrolls you will learn about what the Glade Council do, why they dwell in Eriador and what makes them unique. The Glade Council was founded over 500 years ago by an elven scout known as Mithrelas. Mithrelas Faerondarl was 1386 years old, he grew up within the woodland realm of Mirkwood, once known as Greenwood the Great. The name Mithrelas is composed by the Sindarin words mithren, meaning "grey", and las, meaning "leaf." Although fairly young, Mithrelas had advanced knowledge of combat and had proven his leadership skills to many of his kinsmen when he was appointed leader of a compnay of Elves appointed with the task to retake the ruined tower of Cirith Ungol. The Glade Council became part of Mithrelas' life when he was sent by his lord to help fight the Evil spawning all over Bree-Land. As a wood elf Mithrelas set up camp in Eryn Vorn rather than paying for a room in the Prancing Pony. The trees of Eryn Vorn began to communicate with the Elf and warned him of powerful evil forces corrupting the world. Mithrelas became aware of the real threat of the Shadow as many orc invaders tried to slay him in his sleep. The orcs were sent to the forest by an unknown enemy, to cut down the trees and use them to fuel their black forges. Mithrelas had to protect the Forest as it was now part of him. One dusky evening he came across a fellowship of travellers, they too claimed to be communicating with the forest and were also determined to protect it from harm. A kinship was forged and remains strong to this day. Other travellers have pledged their allegiance to the Council and fight united against the forces of evil. With the ever-growing threat of the Shadow stretching forth from the east, the Glade Council decided to march out of the forests and attack the Enemy openly, fighting evil wherever it is. But they need to grow strong in numbers, and are always on the look for new allies!

The Glade Council has a unique fighting style. Unlike most town-based military kinships, the Council specialize in ambush warfare. These tactics are adopted by the kinsmen to quickly slay oncoming enemy who threaten their woodland homes without been seen. The Glade Council relies more on cunning and knowledge of the area instead of brute force and numbers, but they are ready to face Evil in the open ground when needed.

Nowadays the Council is led by the Circle of the Elders, whose chief is High Seat Felogar of the Noldor, a leader amongst equals. Mithrelas was sadly lost to the Shadow as his heart grew grim and his mind was led astray by a cursed gem shard. Even if the shard was eventually shattered and its power vanquished by bold Elegost and Amadreuil, Mithrelas was lost and disappeared, never to be found again.



The Glade Council is a role-playing kinship based on the European server of Laurelin. We are an active kinship and host rp events. We have a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and our kinsmen are always ready to help when they can. We hold ceremonial rituals to accept new members, where they must recite the Glade Vow.
